This AI Ethical Use Policy describes NScriptio LLC's ("Nscriptio", "we", "us", or "our") approach to the use of artificial intelligence and machine-learning technologies.
Nscriptio does not currently use artificial intelligence or machine-learning systems as part of the Nscriptio Static IP service.
In particular, AI or machine-learning systems are not used to:
inspect or analyze the contents of customer network traffic;
process customer request or response content;
generate content from customer traffic;
profile customers or their users;
make AI-based decisions concerning customers; or
train artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models using customer traffic.
Service operations such as bandwidth measurement, request counting, quota enforcement, network routing, and infrastructure management are conventional software and infrastructure functions and do not constitute the use of artificial intelligence or machine learning.
If Nscriptio introduces artificial-intelligence or machine-learning functionality in the future, we intend to apply the following principles.
AI systems must only process information reasonably necessary for their stated purpose.
Customer traffic or customer information will not be used to train AI models without an appropriate legal basis and appropriate notice to affected customers.
Where AI functionality materially affects how customers interact with Nscriptio or how customer information is processed, we will provide appropriate information about that functionality.
We will not knowingly present AI-generated output as human-generated where that distinction is material to the customer.
AI systems and third-party AI providers must be evaluated with appropriate consideration for the security and confidentiality of customer information.
Nscriptio remains responsible for services and decisions made using systems that we operate. The use of automated technology does not remove the need for appropriate human accountability.
We will not intentionally design or use AI systems for unlawful discrimination, deceptive practices, or activities that violate applicable law.
If an AI provider is ever used to process customer information, we will assess the provider's data-handling practices and establish appropriate safeguards before introducing that processing into the Nscriptio service.
Any material change involving the use of customer traffic or customer information by AI systems will be reflected in our applicable privacy disclosures.
Nscriptio's use of technology may evolve over time.
If we begin using artificial intelligence or machine learning in a way that materially affects customers or customer information, we will update this Policy accordingly.
The effective date at the beginning of this Policy indicates when it was last materially updated.
